Marina grew  up  in  Hartlepool  near  the  sea.  She  went  to  Stranton  Junior  School  and  then  to  Brierton  Comperhensive  School.  She  moved  to  Durham  City  in  1988,  aged  16  years  old.  She  was  married  in  2005  and  has  three  sons.,  but  has  since  been  divorced.

 

Marina  went  to  Durham  University  Buissness  College  and  Houghall  College  in  Durham  City.  She  worked  for  Durham  University  St  Hilds  &  St  Bedes  and  the  NHS  but  she  had  to  leave  work  due  to  family  issues.  Marina  is  now  an  author  and  works  form  home  to  be  with  her  family.
